Tokyo Heatstroke Alert Prediction: By June 30?

Will a heatstroke alert be issued for Tokyo by June 30, 2026?

Event Snapshot

This market asks whether Tokyo issues a heatstroke alert before June 30, 2026. It works well because the official alert follows a defined system and public search intent strongly centers on whether a warning will be issued today.

Market Background

Heatstroke alerts are one of the strongest public-weather search themes in the Japanese summer. Users search extreme heat, WBGT conditions, commuting risk, and whether outdoor exposure should be reduced. Instead of asking vaguely whether it is hot, this market turns the question into a concrete official alert outcome.

Latest Developments

The core of the event is not subjective discomfort but whether official conditions for a heatstroke alert are met and formally announced.

  • 2026-06-27 | Tokyo Metropolitan Government | Local government and safety pages reinforce public attention

FAQ

Resolution Rules

This market will resolve to "Yes" if Japan's Ministry of the Environment, the Japan Meteorological Agency, or their official heatstroke-alert system issues a Heatstroke Alert (熱中症警戒アラート) for Tokyo/Tokyo Metropolis on or before June 30, 2026, 11:59 PM Japan Standard Time. Ordinary hot-weather forecasts, high-temperature forecasts, advisories, news reports, and private weather-service alerts do not count unless they reflect an official heatstroke alert for Tokyo. If no qualifying alert is issued by the deadline, this market resolves to "No." If the official heatstroke-alert system is discontinued, renamed, or materially changed so that a Tokyo alert cannot be compared, this market resolves to "Other."
